have just bought a 7260 and am going to instal the Smart EPG. Before I do anything to instal EPG should you set up the toppy and instal all the TV channels

You will need to do a service scan (install the channels) first. You may also want to remove some services that you will never use. I delete the "infotianment" services. You may also wish to delete 'duplicate' services such as the second ABC LCN (LCN 21) and in some areas the duplicates for Seven Digital (LCN 70 and 71), and SBS 3 (same as SBS 1). While most of the time SBS HD is the same as SBS 1, during summer (particularly at weekends) SBS HD duplicates SBS 2. You do not need to delete these services, you can tell SmartEPG to ignore them - they will not be search and will not be displayed. You only need to scan one service for each network, the others just set to 'display".

Thank you very much Ian. Much appreciated. It was probably a stupid question but I have another very kind member of Whirlpool forums who is going to assist me on the phone after xmas and I wanted to get some of the basic work done before installing the SE.
